Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our services. By using FastPrint SA, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or placing an order with FastPrint SA, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services. These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of this website.

2. Services

FastPrint SA provides professional custom 3D printing services based on customer-supplied digital files and specifications.

Our services include the manufacture of physical parts using additive manufacturing technologies. We do not provide engineering certification, product testing, legal compliance verification, or design ownership verification unless expressly agreed to in writing.

3. Quotes

All quotations issued by FastPrint SA are valid for 7 (seven) calendar days unless otherwise stated in writing.

Quotations are based on the files, quantities, materials, colours and specifications supplied by the customer. If any of these change before production begins, FastPrint SA reserves the right to revise the quotation accordingly.

VAT (where applicable) and delivery charges will be clearly indicated.

4. Orders & Production

Orders are placed as follows:

  1. You send us your files and requirements through this website, by email or by WhatsApp.
  2. We review your request and email you a quotation.
  3. You accept the quotation using the link in the quotation email, or by confirming in writing.
  4. We issue an invoice containing our banking details.
  5. You settle the invoice.
  6. Production begins once payment reflects.

Accepting a quotation confirms your order, but does not by itself place it in the production queue. Production begins only after:

  • Full payment has been received and confirmed.
  • All required design files and specifications have been received.
  • Any requested revisions have been approved.

Estimated production times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Production may be delayed due to machine maintenance, material availability, power interruptions, technical issues, or courier delays beyond our control.

Because every order is custom manufactured, production cannot always be stopped or altered once printing has commenced.

5. Customer Files & Intellectual Property

By uploading or submitting a design file, you confirm that:

  • You own the design or have the legal right to authorise its reproduction.
  • The design does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property rights.

FastPrint SA does not claim ownership of customer files or intellectual property.

Customer files are used solely for quoting, manufacturing, quality control and customer support.

You agree to indemnify and hold FastPrint SA harmless against any claims arising from the manufacture of customer-supplied files.

We reserve the right to refuse any order where ownership or legality cannot reasonably be verified.

6. Prohibited Orders

FastPrint SA reserves the right to refuse, cancel or decline any order that includes, but is not limited to:

  • Illegal or prohibited items.
  • Firearms, weapon components or regulated weapon accessories.
  • Designs that infringe intellectual property rights.
  • Offensive, hateful or unlawful content.
  • Any product that violates South African law.

If an order is declined before production begins, any payment received will be refunded in full.

7. Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).

Payment is made by electronic funds transfer (EFT). Our banking details are supplied on the invoice issued to you once you have accepted your quotation. We do not request card details by email, telephone or WhatsApp.

Where an online payment option is made available on the website, the payment methods accepted and the total amount payable will be displayed before you complete payment.

Production will only commence once payment has been successfully received and reflected in our account. Proof of payment may be requested, but production begins only once the funds have actually cleared.

Customers are responsible for using the payment reference shown on their invoice, so that payment can be matched to the correct order.

8. Delivery

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on production workload and courier availability.

Once an order has been handed to a third-party courier, responsibility for shipping delays rests with the courier.

Risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer upon collection by, or handover to, the courier.

Customers should inspect their order upon delivery and notify FastPrint SA of any manufacturing defects or incorrect items within 7 (seven) days of receipt.

9. Printed Parts & Manufacturing Tolerances

Due to the nature of additive manufacturing:

  • Minor layer lines and surface imperfections are normal.
  • Slight colour variations between filament batches may occur.
  • Minor dimensional tolerances are inherent to the 3D printing process.
  • Mechanical strength varies depending on material selection, print orientation and part geometry.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the selected material and design are suitable for their intended application.

FastPrint SA does not guarantee that printed parts are suitable for safety-critical, medical, aerospace, or load-bearing applications unless expressly agreed to in writing.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, FastPrint SA’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or any order shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the affected order.

FastPrint SA shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or economic damages, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data or business interruption.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, where applicable.

12. Amendments

FastPrint SA reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time.

The latest version will always be available on our website.

Continued use of our website or services after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
